Sundance workshops are coming to Macon! The one-day workshop will be taught by alumni of the Sundance Institute and will teach attendants what it takes to create films.


USA renews ATL-based “Chrisley Knows Best” for third season

USA Network has renewed Atlanta-based reality series “Chrisley Knows Best” for a third season following the show’s successful second season debut.

The season three renewal includes 12 episodes featuring Atlanta’s Todd Chrisley, his wife, five children and two grandchildren.

Last week’s opener raked in record setting ratings with a combined audience of more than 7 million total viewers.

“Viewers have embraced the Chrisleys for their witty one-liners, laugh-out-loud moments and heartfelt everyday situations,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network in a press announcement.  “This family has made an indelible imprint on pop culture, and we’re excited to continue the entertaining journey with them in season three.”

Atlanta Walker Stalker convention, ATL WEBFEST this weekend, Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf visit Columbus

The Walker Stalker Convention ran downtown Atlanta this weekend, where thousands of fans showed up to meet most of the cast of AMC’s hit show “Walking Dead.”


The second annual ATL WEBFEST will be held on the Georgia Tech campus October 24 – 26, 2014.

OWN’s “2 Fat 2 Fly” Now Filming in Georgia

The Oprah Winfrey Network’s new docu-series “2 Fat 2 Fly” is now filming in Georgia.

The docu-series features two best friends Ramone Dickerson and Corey Simmons as they take their food truck business on the road, selling the Columbia, South Carolina duo’s the secret weapon: stuffed chicken wings.

OWN president Erik Logan said in a press release, “This series will be a great addition to our Saturday primetime lineup. The escapades of these two best friends are fun to watch and there seems to be no limit to what they might do in their quest to make their business a huge success.”

OWN ordered eight episodes of the hour-long docu-series, which is expected to air on Saturday nights in early 2015.

FX’s ‘Archer’ drops ISIS acronym, “The Walking Dead” tours, Marvel pays $63K for magnolia trees, Starz renews ‘Survivor’s Remorse’

FX network is stopping the use of an acronym used on the Atlanta-produced show Archer for the past five seasons because it’s also the name of an actual Jihadist group. Good call, FX!
